Put Your Faith in Action

“Our purpose is to love God, care for our neighbors and be Christ’s witness to the world.”

At Valmont, we empower our congregation to act on our mission statement as they are led by God. Over the last year, this has taken a number of forms —

  • a mission trip to Louisiana to help rebuild hurricane-damaged homes with Presbyterian Disaster Assistance
  • partnering with Boulder County Social Services to assist foster parents to bring their homes up to safety standards (Project James)
  • bringing the heavens to the local community through the Valmont Amateur Astronomy Group (VAAG) and it’s research class telescope
  • sending sheets and layet items to hospitals in Africa
  • packing food for a local food bank
  • raising money to fight hunger through the local CROP Walk
  • a card ministry to support shut-ins and those needing extra encouragement
